EuroRallye will again be working with Andrew Wood Motorsport with a new hire car for 2009 - a Honda Civic Type R (EP3) Group N Rally Car. This car is eligible for the FIA R2 class. 2009 promises to be a very exciting year for Scottish Motorsport with the announcement this week of a new sponsor for the Scottish Rally Championship and the IRC coming to Scotland for a brand new event at the end of the year. The Honda was used at the unveiling of the SRC new sponsor - Hankook Motorsport - in Glasgow earlier this week. The photos are courtesy of Hankook Motorsport. Specification of the Honda is as follows: Shell Seam welded shell with full weld in cage and professional seats rails. Heavy duty alloy sump guard, tank guard. Flocked dash, Corbeau seats & alloy frames, Magnum 3 inch belts (FIA end 2014), Lifeline 4.0 electric extinguisher, Lifeline hand held extinguisher, Sparco deep dish suede steering wheel, carbon drivers & navigators foot rests. Engine Very fresh Japanese specification Group N engine (approx 217 bhp) with Japanese ECu & loom, stainless steel competition exhaust, heavy duty engine mounts. Gearbox Japanese specification Group N 6 speed gear kit with JAS 6.33 final drive and Spoon plate LSD unit. Suspension Proflex 3 way adjustable suspension, running on Speedline 15inch alloys or 17 inch alloys for tarmac. Brakes Group N brakes with Japanese calipers, Ferodo pads, Group N AP bias valves & hydraulic hand brake with twin AP cylinders, aeroquip brake lines throughout.
